Planner
Leah is a graduate from the University of Waterloo with a specialization in Environmental Planning and Management. She has experience in the public-sector undertaking policy research and analysis, as well as Official Plan Reviews, Zoning By-law Amendments, Minor Variances, development application reviews, and public consultation processes.
She has supported implementation of municipal and regional active transportation master plans and has experience in heritage and cultural planning. She also has a background in implementing and evaluating watershed-based policies in the Great Lakes basin.
Leah has experience in both the public and private sectors. Leah brings experience in municipal heritage planning through her previous role as a planner/heritage planner at the Town of Midland, where she supported the Midland Heritage Committee in developing and undertaking its work plan and fundraising activities, assisting with applications for alterations to designated properties, and research on options for cultural heritage conservation through municipal planning policies and incentives.
She is familiar with implementation of Community Improvement Plans, Downtown Master Plans, and the use of Urban Design Guidelines/Community Design Guidelines to shape design and heritage conservation.
