Planner

Samantha is a graduate from Queen’s University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and a Certificate in Geographic Information Science. She completed her Master of Urban Planning degree in spring 2022. During her studies, Samantha was part of a collaborative research team between Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Queen’s University with a mandate to estimate suburban population sizes in the United States based on a new transportation classification method in order to create a finer grained suburbs definition. Through Samantha’s education and work experience, she has gained experience in data and project management, geographic information systems (GIS), planning policy research and report writing. Samantha has been involved in various private and municipal projects including Official Plan Reviews, Zoning applications, and Official Plan and By-law conformity exercises.
