Kristen is a licensed Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo. She has a background in geotechnical engineering in open pit mining operations in Northern Ontario where she was involved with geotechnical investigations, slope remediation projects and slope stability monitoring.

 

She has developed and presented geotechnical hazard awareness training programs and safe operating procedures for mine workers. She was responsible for collaborating with hydrogeology, mine planning and operations to ensure ground conditions were suitable for advancement according to the mine plan and final design.

Kristen also has experience working in quarry operations and in aggregate quality control sampling and testing. She has been involved with hydrogeological investigations, groundwater, and surface water monitoring programs. She has experience with Class B Site Plan Plans under the Aggregate Resources Act.
