Gary Bell has practiced planning with Skelton Brumwell & Associates Inc. since 1985. He became partner in 1990 and was President of the firm between 2004 and 2018.  Mr. Bell has been pivotal in the company’s success and growth. Gary has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning, from the University of Waterloo.

Gary's experience covers a broad range of interests including aggregate resources, commercial planning, downtown revitalization, economic strategies, geographic information systems (GIS), land development, policy development, recreational facilities planning, redevelopment planning, renewable energy projects and subdivision and site planning. He has advised senior levels of government, local municipalities and the private sector on issues relating to planning and resource management.

Mr. Bell specializes in land development and municipal planning, and has provided expert testimony at numerous hearings before the Ontario Municipal Board and other tribunals relating to planning and land development. Gary excels at finding ways through complex processes and has performed several voluntary lectures at the University of Waterloo on various planning-related topics.
